We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller based out of our corporate facility in Oak Brook, IL.

This position, which reports to the Corporate Controller, acts as the Corporation's technical accounting expert. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP and are in compliance with SEC requirements, as well as effectively supervise and develop the Corporate accounting staff.

Typical duties for this position would include:

• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reports, including 10-Q's and 10-K's
  
  
• Account for all acquisitions and divestitures
  
  
• Oversee SOX 404c compliance for the Corporation
  
  
• Establish and maintain internal accounting controls sufficient to satisfy SOX requirements
  
  
• Oversee general ledger accounting for the Corporate office. Ensure reconciliations are properly completed and that all balance sheet accounts are properly supported
  
  
• Develop the finance team through ongoing coaching and succession planning to improve bench strength
  
  
• Build a rapport with subsidiary finance personnel to ensure communication flow is effective and subsidiary queries are effectively addressed
  
  
• Oversee internal/external audits of Corporate office functions and consolidated results and follow-up on identified issues

Requirements for this position include:

• BS degree in accounting or finance
  
  
• CPA certification
  
  
• Prior SEC reporting experience
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication experience
  
  
• 7-10 years progressive accounting experience
  
  
• Minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting
