Assistant Coordinator of Residential Services

About the Job

The Learning Tree, Inc. is currently interviewing for the position of Assistant Coordinator of Residential Services (ACRS) for its program in Jacksonville, AL.

The Learning Tree, Inc. is a private non-profit residential program for students with measured IQ and Adaptive Behavior Rating of below 70 who engage in challenging behaviors, ranging from aggression to self injury. It is the leader in Alabama in the utilization of the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) as an instructional methodology. The school is licensed by the Alabama State Dept.'s of Education and Mental Health/Mental Retardation.  The school has three programs in Alabama; Jacksonville, Mobile, and Tallassee.

Working under the supervision of the Coordinator of Residential Services (CRS), the ACRS position includes: monitoring of staff implementation of all prescribed training protocols, participation in management team meetings, communication with other department supervisors, participation in performance appraisal and disciplinary actions, assistance with training of staff, assistance with supervision of weekend residential services on rotating basis, assistance with scheduling of residential staff work hours, assistance with oversight of documentation of service delivery, participation in development of Person Centered Instruction Plans (PCIP) and quarterly reports, participation in interviewing of prospective residential staff, assistance with ensuring that all monitoring agency minimum standards of service delivery are met, and other duties to ensure quality of service delivery is maintained.

 

This position is a Friday thru Monday position, from 7 AM to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday, with six scheduled hours on each Friday and Monday.  The annual salary starts at $32,500, and ranges to $37,000, negotiable with experience.  36 Annual Leave days are provided and the school pays 50% of the individual’s monthly health insurance premiums for its group plan with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Alabama.

 

This role requires good inter-personal and management skills.  Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and supervisory experience are required.  More information can be provided to interested persons.
