Responsible for the management and coordination of specific Human Resource (HR) activities/functions bank wide.  Ensure Bank's resources are applied appropriately in support of the Bank's strategic and operational business objectives and the Bank remains in compliance with federal, state and local laws.  Provide support and guidance to managers responsible for the HR areas of Compensation, Employee Benefits, Employee Relations & Recruiting, HR Systems and Organizational Development & Training.  Assist the Director of HR with execution of Executive level recruiting assignments and  administration of the companies Executive Compensation Plans.  Direct responsibility for specific functional areas such as Succession Planning/Organizational Development.

  • Implement HR policies and procedures that support the Bank's business objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in conjunction with Line Management in elements of strategic planning that relate to maximizing the use of human resources to support business objectives including but not limited to staff levels, training and alternative reward systems.
  • Interpret HR policies and procedures as they apply to specific incidents or situations.
  • Ensure bank wide budget compliance from a staffing and compensation perspective.
  • Participate with the Director of HR in the administration of all executive compensation programs including, but not limited to, the non qualified retirement restoration plan, the long term incentive stock plan, the executive compensation incentive plan and the executive deferred compensation plan.
  • Provide internal consulting support and guidance to department managers across the company on a variety of HR related issues.
  • Establish and administer a corporate-wide Succession and Talent Management Plan.
  • Participate in the Due Diligence Process of bank acquisitions to evaluate potential liabilities and issues related to purchase.
  • Other job related duties/special projects as assigned.
  • Incumbent is required to comply will all applicable federal, state and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the bank Secrecy Act.
  • Incumbent is responsible for organizational integrity and business ethics as it relates to this position, and communicating this commitment to any applicable subordinates.
  • Incumbent will have access to sensitive and confidential employee information.

You must possess these minimum background requirements:

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of Human Resource experience to include in depth exposure to all facets of human resource disciplines; minimum 5 years experience in a Bank environment.
  • 4+ years of proven management skills.  It is imperative that the incumbent have the ability to be a motivator, leader, and an effective decision maker.  The incumbent must possess the ability to be creative and innovative.  Moreover, the manager must be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Some knowledge and experience in the field of Executive Compensation
