Woodbine Rehabilitation & Healthcare is a very busy 300-bed SNF with a dedicated vent unit, and an active Medicare / commercial insurance census as well as a LTC / NF population. This position will support the facility Director of Nursing who has 20+ years LTC experience and has been at Woodbine for 16 years: 4 years as DON.   She is well liked by staff and well respected for her LTC knowledge and quality focus.    

The Assistant DON will support the DON in planning, organizing and directing daily operations of the Nursing Department. Qualified candidates will have 3 to 5 years LTC experience in a supervisory capacity, knowledge of Federal and State regulations, knowledge of MDS and care-planning process, ability to audit and monitor compliance with established nursing systems, teaching and coaching skills, ability to make rounds effectively and implement necessary nursing intervention or corrections, ability to work with DON to hold staff accountable for compliance with quality standards, ability to assist DON in interviewing and selecting staff, and ability to support DON in clinical quality initiatives.
