Job Description- American Greetings has an immediate opening for an Assistant Human Resources Manager located at our distribution center in Danville, Kentucky. The primary responsibilities for the Asst HR Manager will focus on Human Resources/Employee Relations issues and government compliance. You will also manage the employment function for all hourly and salary time card associates including recruitment, interviewing, selection, hiring placement, reference checks and orientation as well as coordinating placement of temporary workers with local staffing agencies as necessary. In addition you will have primary responsibility for training and development; process improvement, and benefits administration. The position will also support the environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives as directed by the Regional EHS Manager. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience of previous experience with similar HR responsibilities. Experience with working in a distribution center or manufacturing facility is a plus. Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
