The Assistant Store Manager position begins with a 9 week training program. Upon completion of training, the Assistant Store Manager is accountable for the Operations and Merchandising functions at one of our retail warehouses.
Responsible for generating planned sales and profit objectives through effective techniques, technological improvements and productivity enhancements.
Responsible for compliance with policies and procedures. Some of which may include; shrink, expense control, Human resources, labor scheduling, payroll, cash control, inventory control and merchandise replenishment.
Ensure that the Club's building, equipment, furniture and fixtures are properly maintained and in working order
Select, train, develop, assign work, monitor and evaluate performance of the management team and other Team Members as assigned.
Perform "Manager on Duty" functions, and other management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
The right person for this position must have 3+ years experience as a retail store or warehouse operations/merchandising manager, preferably in a high sales volume supermarket, mass merchant, retail or wholesale club environment. A strong drive for results is critical.
Ability to lead, and motivate a large group of Team Members. Solid understanding of Profit & Loss Statements, shrink control, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution.
A solid work ethic; honest and straight forward. Committed and accountable for offering highest quality of service.
