Position: Assistant Manager
The Assistant Manager position is designed to assist the General Manager as it pertains to operating a 1st class off airport parking facility. The hours of the position are such that the Assistant Manager works the busiest hours that the General Manager is not on duty. When the General Manager is on vacation or otherwise off from work the Assistant Manager would assume the hours of the General Manager. A typical weekly schedule might be Sun through Thursday 3 pm – 12 am.
The Assistant Manager position requires that an individual be of good physical health with the ability to lift up to 70lbs, stand for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, and walk for long periods of time. The position also requires that an individual be able to spend long periods of time outside in variable weather conditions.
Must maintain a clean driving record with no more than three points on his/her record at any time. The Assistant Manager must be able to pass a drug screening before employment can begin. Changes in the status of either of these items could result in the immediate termination. Must be able to communicate with customers in order to solve any disputes that could arise.
Duties & Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Manager position are as follows but are not limited to:
Maintain a minimum of 8 hours per week working in the cashier booth.
Maintain a minimum of 8 hours per week driving the shuttle bus.
Assistant Manager is the 3rd or 4th bus on standby during peak periods.
Perform at least one GAP time weekly during the busiest period during the work week. Often this will occur on Sunday nights.
Spend at least 1 night per week passing out 1 Day Free cards at the airport pick up point to competitor customers waiting for their shuttle.
Primary on processing frequent parker applications.
Performing audits of cashier shifts following procedures set forth by the company.
Perform site audits of the lights on the lot at a minimum of once a week.
Ensure the number of buses running during his / her shift is sufficient to meet the demand.
Assist the cashier during peak volumes such as when there is traffic coming on the lot and going off the lot.
Reinforce procedures with the cashiers during his / her shift. For example ensure cashier are handing out cards encourage non Fast Pass holders to sign up online.
Other duties as assigned.
