Glovis Alabama LLC, a warehousing and logistics supplier to Hyundai, is looking for an experienced person to manage a team of team leaders directing the team members of 80 personnel. This is a second shift position. Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and a bias for action will be required. Bachelors Degree in Logistics or Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Management by Walking Around; strong floor presence with Team Leaders, identifying issues, removing roadblocks and following up on problems and communicating with Management and Customer; Execution of the strategies and plans outlined by the COO and CC Manager; Arrange “work out” meetings on as needed basis to solve issues. Communicate minutes of the meeting, issues addressed, actions taken.
Experience needed:
Progressive levels of responsibilities and leadership in a logistics related function. Specific examples of success in managing complex projects and implementing Lean Principals. At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience. Strong in MS Excel; Familiarity with SAP, ERP, and WMS required.
