About Us:

In 2004, HP Hood became HP Hood LLC when it acquired New York-based Crowley Foods and Minnesota-based Kemps LLC, adding to Hood’s portfolio of national and super-regional brands as well as processing and distribution operations. Overall Responsibility:

Working with the Licensed Brands Marketing Team, candidate will implement marketing and communications plans and tactics that result in the successful achievement of licensed brands development and consumer franchise objectives, as well corporate sales, profit and market share objectives. Marketing Assistant will work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, sales support and operations) to ensure successful launch of new products and effective implementation of marketing tactics. Adhere to and promote HP Hood LLC values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

1.      Assist in the timely and cost-effective implementation of marketing plan tactics, including advertising (print, broadcast, digital), consumer promotions (FSIs, coupons, POS) and event development and management

2.      Assist in development of creative marketing materials, including presentations, samples/mockups and collateral materials

3.      Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors to help facilitate the timely completion of projects

4.      Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of tactics

5.      Analyze business and tactics, and identify necessary actions to ensure goal attainment

6.      Communicate initiatives and distributes materials to applicable audiences in a timely manner

 

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

 

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

  • 1-2 years experience in marketing department and/or agency; recent college graduates OK
  • College Degree (BS/BA; MBA not required)
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills required
  • Action-oriented; eager to learn and face new challenges
  • Attention to detail and appreciation of deadlines is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel)
  • CPG and/or Food & Beverage experience preferred

 

Other:

This position requires the ability to meet deadlines, so a flexible schedule is required. The ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize their importance is required.
