JOB SUMMARY:

To assist the Production Manager in completing the scheduled daily pack plan most efficiently to meet or beat budgeted costs.  Administering company policies, procedures, functions, and activities of the production division to acquire knowledge of all phases of the division within established long- and short-term departmental objectives.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Set-up, change, and close out production line.
2. Be familiar with and monitor time cards of all production employees.
3. Interpret, implement, and enforce company policies, procedures and safety requirements involving all packing house employees.
4. Recommends personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges disciplinary measures; trains new and cross-trains current employees.
5. Confers with management to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiencies.
6. Organize and direct finished product rotation.
7. Prepare and submit various management reports.
8. Complete other projects as assigned by Production Manager.
9. Assist with supervising the shipping department.
