The Assistant Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift, is responsible for leading and developing hourly employees by providing leadership, direction, and support to assure completion of the production schedule while maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and cost considerations. Facilitate along with hourly team leads all areas of people management such as corrective actions, attendance, PTO, development, and other plant policies.
Primary responsibilities include:
Lead and manage production Leads to meet production goals through efficient planning, scheduling, line/product optimization, and process improvement methodologies.
Provide Production Leads direction and support to ensure adherence to the new hire employee plant training program and plant good manufacturing / best practices.
Evaluate labor utilization daily. Communicate with Leads to confirm areas are properly staffed.
Support Production Supervisors efforts to develop and refine production processes.
Evaluation, training and development of Leads through coaching, mentoring, and providing timely feedback. Develop situations where employees can learn and decision making process can be analyzed and used as developmental exercises.
Participate in process improvement teams, as well as assisting PI efforts for plant.
Back fill for Production Supervisor when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibile for daily time sheets, weekly reports and other SOX requirements.
Minimum Requirementts:
Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Desires Requirements:
Bilingual English/Spanish
Some Supervisory experience
