Troy University, Troy, Alabama, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The candidate must have either a doctorate in mathematics with a strong mathematics education background or a doctorate in mathematics education with a least a master’s degree in mathematics. The position will consist primarily of teaching mathematics and mathematics education classes, advising mathematics education students and supervising mathematics education interns. Requirements include demonstrated excellence in teaching, excellent communication skills and evidence of scholarly productivity. The position is available August 1, 2010. Salary is dependent upon experience and background.
