The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for training and overseeing the daily activities of the material handling staff and assisting in the operational planning, scheduling and controlling of water and wastewater plants
Assists with the efficient and effective operation of the Project by:
a. Ensuring that prescribed schedules and operating policies and procedures are followed.
b. Making recommendations regarding improved operating systems and procedures, changes in employment, salary and performance ratings for employees.
c. Allocating work and assisting in training personnel.
- Responsible for material procurement
- Ensures that the work order system is maintained properly and that all maintenance records are organized
- Assists with the audit the projects and recommends efficiency improvements
- Evaluates overall project organizational structure and recommends changes in staffing, scheduling, and equipment
- Evaluates system performance of operations or maintenance objectives
- Assists in developing standard operating procedures
- Oversees development and implementation of programs
- Prepares daily, monthly, and yearly reports for review by project manager, including DMRs, MORs, etc.
- Meets with regulatory officials during inspections to evaluate inspection findings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Track and submit monthly reports detailing major and routine maintenance
- Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Other duties may be assigned
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge or water and wastewater operations
Valid driver's license.
Requires climbing, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
