Assistant Project Manager

About the Job

This is an exciting new opportunity for a seasoned Assistant Project Manager with Water/Wastewater background. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance of Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant construction projects.

  • Primarily performs engineering duties in planning for environmental projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Maintain project logs (i.e. storage logs, concrete pour log, RFI log)
  • Maintain and update schedules (i.e. valve schedule, project schedule)
  • Identify need for Requests For Information (RFIs)
  • Coordinate facility startup activities
  • Prepare, review and process shop drawings
  • Maintain as-built drawings
  • Collect and assemble O&M material
  • Purchase Order and Subcontract Scope analysis and drafting
  • Material purchasing and expediting
  • Document distribution
  • Value engineering design and proposals
  • Contract document distribution to jobsite, vendors, subcontractors
  • Visits project sites to monitor progress conformance to plans and standards
  • Provide the Project Manager with support and accurate information to maximize project management effectiveness.

    • Bachelors degree from a 4 year, accredited university, with a concentration in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management

    3-5 yrs experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Project Manager in Water or Waste Water Treatment Facility Construction only. (Candidates with construction experience only).

    Good organizational skills

    Good management & communication skills

    Computer Applications Experience: Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook

    Experience utilizing Primavera Project Planning (P3) or Primavera SureTrak, and Expedition
