Assistant Regional Director
To implement educational programs within the region, including CONFRONTING ANTI-SEMITISM, A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE, Echoes and Reflections. To provide staff support to assigned education committees. This position is based on New England and serves Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont region. This is a part-time position (21 hours).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Market, coordinate and implement A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE and CONFRONTING ANTI-SEMITISM programs to local educational institutions, corporations and government agencies.
*Implement a full range of ADL education programs and projects, tailoring them to fit the region’s educational needs. Monitor and evaluate programs and draft quarterly, mid-year and annual reports for the National Office.
*Develop community relationships and network with educators to facilitate effective delivery of education programs.
*Provide staff support to lay-led task forces and committees such as the Education Committee of the Board.
*Coordinate local special events, campaigns and conferences related to educational efforts.
*Train, supervise and evaluate per-diem trainers.
*Personally conduct training sessions and workshops.
*Represent ADL’s educational initiatives at community events.
Qualifications:
*A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
*Between 1 and 2 years of progressively responsible community service. Experience including some education program management experience.
*Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with public speaking.
*Familiarity with educational systems and education practices.
*Good organizational skills.
*Good writing and editing skills.
*Computer skills including word processing and database management applications.
*Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to represent ADL and to attend community events.
*Some travel within the region.
