Assistant Store Manager - Somerset Collection - Troy, MI

General Summary:

The assistant store manager assists the store manager (SM) in the supervision and management of a store. The assistant store manager ensures that the store meets all company standards in the areas of:

Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) and Customer Satisfaction
Sales goal achievement
Cash / inventory management
General store operations
Loss prevention
Visual presentation floor sets, merchandise handling, and store maintenance
Human resources management, development, and training

Essential Functions For Assistant Store Managers and Sales Associates:

Qualified candidates must possess the ability to:

1. Provide the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) and Customer Satisfaction
2. Understands and demonstrates Chico's FAS, Inc Values with both customers and team.
3. Maintains constant and timely communication with the SM
4. Prepares weekly and monthly communication for recap with the SM
5. Able to perform all functions in the Guiding Principles for Stores (GPS) and MARS Principles for Stores (MPS)
6. Encourages and coaches the Store Associates in developing their retail skills
7. Prepares, directs, and participates in weekly management meetings
8. Positively and consistently demonstrates a neat, professional, and fashionable image
9. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as directed by the SM, DSM, and RSM

Qualifications:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. High School diploma desired
3. Prior retail or sales management experience preferred
4. Prior retail or sales management experience preferred
5. Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
6. Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales
7. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
8. Established history in recruiting and retaining a quality sales and support staff
9. Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs, hang/fold merchandise, climbing, reaching, pushing/pulling
10. It is the assistant manager's responsibility to be present and punctual for all assigned shifts, work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends
