A national leader in providing warehouse services to manufacturing and distribution companies is seeking an Assistant Warehouse  Manager for our warehouse / distribution facility in the Chicago area. 

We are seeking a candidate who will provide leadership with a positive customer service orientation; positive employee relations skills; and a proven track record of successful management experience in the warehousing /transportation industry. A college education and experience operating powered equipment are positive considerations. The successful candidate must be bilingual (English/Spanish).  Our facility is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, so flexible availability is a must!

Position duties include: efficient workforce scheduling and labor controls;  recruiting, selection, and training of workforce; provide training /development for first line supervisors; implement safe work practices, OSHA compliance, and accident prevention programs; manage dock receiving operations; and maintain a positive relationship with warehouse operations management and transportation/ delivery personnel.
