- Provide consultative tax, legal, and financial planning services by telephone, correspondence, and at point of sale to facilitate product sales. Create illustrations of complex financial scenarios for use with clients.
- Design and deliver educational programs and seminars on tax, financial planning, and legal topics related to the sale of financial products
- Work with marketing to design and review sales ideas, ensuring that are both relevant and within SLFD's core messaging
- Serve as liaison with product on technical product related questions
Main Accountabilities
This position will require the ability to solve problems and provide expert advice to both our wholesalers and financial advisors. The questions and issues that the Advanced Markets Associate Director will have to solve will vary from a broad number of financial planning topics. In this role, it is imperative the Advanced Markets Associate Director understand SLFD's products as well as tax, trust, and estate planning concepts. The Advanced Markets Associate Director will travel extensively to regional and national meetings, delivering targeted educational presentations that strengthen SLFD's relationships and drive sales.
Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years experience in a similar position
- a comprehensive understanding of sophisticated tax and estate planning concepts, as well as other industry designations (CFP, CIMA, etc…).
- Must be a dynamic speaker and relationship builder who also has the ability to handle multiple tasks with high degrees of complexity.
- Needs to demonstrate ability to marry financial strategies to Sun Life's products.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school (& membership in at least one state bar) strongly preferred
