Assignment Capsule
As an Associate Actuarial Analyst you will provide leadership in the measurement and evaluation of risk, as well as recommendations for action, consistent with established actuarial methods and standards.
- Perform traditional actuarial work (and is capable of managing the work of others) consistent with skills generally demonstrated by at least three to five years of actuarial experience and significant progress toward the attainment of Associate/Fellowship with the SOA/CAS.
- Develop significant expertise in state regulatory and compliance matters as related to rates and other mandated and informational filings, acting as a departmental liaison to state regulatory bodies regarding compliance issues.
- Evaluate reserving estimates and assess their adequacy.
- Underwriting Group Medicare accounts for prospects and renewals.

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field
- Successful completion of the ASA exam
- Progressive data analysis and reporting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
Role Desirables
- Successful completion of 3-4 actuarial exams
- Prior pricing experience
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic and Oracle
Reporting Relationships
- You will report to an Actuary. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Financial Officer.
