Position Description
Associate Design Engineer
Our hot swap and power path IC group is seeking an associate design engineer. This group designs analog integrated circuits for a variety of power supply protection and control applications. Examples include over voltage transient protection, hot swap circuits, power supply monitoring and supervision, ideal diode controllers, and redundant power supply controllers.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Assisting engineers with evaluation and characterization of new analog integrated circuits
- Making electrical measurements, taking data, and presenting it
- Building special purpose lab equipment such as evaluation boards, adjustable current loads, and voltage sources
- Using and evaluating new products
- Designing and building application circuits for customers
Required Skills:
- Have a good understanding of the operation and measurement of analog circuits
- Be familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, curve tracers, current probes, power supplies, and multi-meters
- Be able to assemble, program, and operate lab equipment for automatic data collection
- Lay out, construct, solder, and debug copper-clad and printed circuit boards
- Have an inquisitive and observant mind
- Be able to communicate results, understand instructions, and interact professionally with other design engineers and lab staff
