Reporting to the Sr. Director, ABLAVAR, the Associate Director, ABLAVAR Marketing will lead critical marketing activities related to the ABLAVAR brand. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to provide strategic brand management, vision and direction within a fast moving, challenging and energetic commercial environment. An appreciation for innovative marketing techniques and strategic insights, and a track record of driving results are important success factors for this position. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, perceptive, an analytical problem solver, and possess the ability to implement strategic/tactical programs. Finally, this person will be passionate about supporting the success of a science based brand that can dramatically improve patient outcomes.
This person must establish performance expectations for staff members and coach staff on specific performance and professional development issues. Must participate in the search and selection of new talent, fosters diversity and active engagement to improve and sustain morale. This person must implement proper training and formal performance management as a means to ensuring long-term success. Additionally, this person must manage the resources allocated to ensure efficient utilization and develop and monitor key metrics of performance. Must participate in budgeting, reporting and other administrative functions as required to manage assigned operations. Must advocate for full legal compliance and ethical conduct in all business transactions. Must demonstrate professional leadership both within the company, in the industry and in the community.
In addition, this person must actively promotes safety rules and awareness, demonstrate good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Requirements include:
Bachelors degree required. Advanced business degree or M.B.A. preferred. Additional scientific degree would be a plus.
A minimum of 8+ years of marketing experience with several years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors and a strong preference for experience in one or more of the following areas: Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Contrast Media, Medical Imaging products.
Proven record of leading brand growth.
Demonstrated expertise in marketing to diverse customer segments including physicians, payers and consumers.
Documented experience in overseeing lifecycle management and market development/expansion activities.
An understanding of the managed markets (payers, channels, pricing) environment in the
Proven ability to successfully lead/work in a cross functional team setting (clinical, sales, managed markets, regulatory, legal, production, R&D, project management).
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational/planning skills
