Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Admissions Operations and Enrollment Coaching for the College of Professional Studies (CPS) will oversee a team of people that assist prospective CPS students in applying and becoming successfully matriculated students at Northeastern. The Associate Director will have primary oversight over a unit dedicated to the operational aspects of the admissions application process as well as a team of Enrollment Counselors responsible for counseling prospective students through the application process and reviewing candidates for acceptance to the College. The Associate Director will provide the day-to-day oversight over these operations to create a seamless experience for prospective students as they work through the admissions cycle from the applicant stage to enrolled students.
The duties of the individual in this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Oversee the operational aspects of the student application process and ensure that applications are being processed and reviewed in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the Senior Operations manager in making decisions regarding the processing of application materials.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of admissions decision review process through periodic audits of files.
- Create and maintain a team environment amongst Operations staff and Enrollment Counselors to result in a seamless application and review process.
- Document operational policy and procedures for admissions application and review processes.
- Establish, maintain and document standard procedures and quality control measures for inbound and outbound enrollment coach functions.
- Schedule, prioritize and evaluate the daily duties of enrollment counselors.
- Establish and monitor metrics of success for enrollment counselor duties.
- Generate usable reports out of the Colleges ACD telephone, admissions application, and CRM systems to evaluate staff members effectiveness and to inform strategic enrollment decisions made by the senior leadership team.
- Act as the units liaison to other CPS and university units and personnel.
This position will require excellent interpersonal skills, a positive outgoing personality, the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and a self-starter attitude. The individual must be willing to work in a metrics driven position and be flexible in their hours. The individual must also have the ability to commute between Northeasterns main campus and satellite campus locations.
Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelors Degree is required; masters degree strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, managerial and communication skills required. Four to six years experience working in a higher education setting, preferably in an admissions, recruitment or enrollment area. Prior management experience is required. Excellent organizational, counseling and communication skills are required. The candidate will have experience in working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite and managing reports. A demonstrated sensitivity to the understanding of the needs and concerns of a diverse population is also essential. Prior experience supporting adult learners is desired.

This position will require a flexible work schedule that would include some evening hours.
