What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

- May also require material handling equipment certification
- Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual
- Demonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skills
- Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
- Demonstrates effective oral communication skills

Accountabilities in this role
- Unloading trucks and accurately breaking down and stocking freight in accordance with QRA standards and local procedures
- Processing orders including accurately picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and shipment confirmation of customer orders
- Performing housekeeping, inventory control, maintaining a clean work environment, and complying with all QRA/EHS and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years distribution warehouse experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office preferred
- Automated or RF (Radio Frequency) warehouse experience beneficial
- Must possess effective communication skills
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts)
- Ability to work standing for long periods of time with frequent stooping or bending
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to be detail oriented, quality focused, self-motivated and work in a team oriented environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards
- Must be flexible to work overtime as needed
