Associate, Internal Audit Risk and Compliance
Do you have a passion for solving complex business problems? KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues — managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs — that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We are currently seeking an Associate to join us in our Tysons Corner office focused in the Aerospace & Defense industry. KPMG’s Aerospace & Defense (A&D) professionals possess the extensive industry knowledge and experience necessary to stay ahead of the challenges affecting today’s aerospace and defense companies. Our leadership team averages over 25 years of experience, serving as former C-level executives with premier global aerospace and defense manufacturers, government contractors, service providers, IT and MRO companies. At KPMG, you will join one of the few professional services providers with a dedicated A&D segment of multidisciplinary advisors. Responsibilities: • Assist clients in interpreting, implementing, and complying with federal procurement regulations and contractual requirements including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), OMB Circulars, and other applicable laws and regulations • Execute engagement activities to meet objectives agreed-upon with the client • Plan, execute, and oversee engagement work, interact with client management, supervise staff, and review work of staff members • Provide high-quality, professional, day-to-day supervision of regulatory and compliance engagements and other assigned projects Qualifications: • One year of experience providing FAR, CAS, and related regulatory and compliance advisory assistance • Experience interacting with Administrative Contracting Officers (ACO’s), the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and/or other oversight agencies • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline • Eligible to obtain a Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance within a reasonable time frame • Strong working knowledge of FAR and CAS requirements and other federal procurement regulations • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
