Associate Marketing Manager

About the Job

Associate Marketing Manager- Small company culture; big company resources give you a chance to shine and make an impact in our fast growing healthcare B2B direct marketing organization.  You will be responsible for the overall profitability and growth of one of our core product lines.


 


Working with the Product Manager you will use your 5 years (minimum) of experience to demonstrate your proven ability to see new business opportunities and implement strategies to capture them, set and meet aggressive objectives and implement a multi-channel marketing plan (catalogs, solo mailers, fax, e-mail, web, telephone).  Identify, research and target specific product and market segments with growth potential and develop marketing strategies and merchandising implementation plans to reach and convert them. 


 


The right candidate will have the ability to develop new products and market channels as well as achieve sales figures. To maximize profit contributions of your product line, your duties will include:



  • Identification, analysis and implementation of niche market growth opportunities
  • Develop and implement mail plans including product selection, offer formulation, list selection, and results evaluation
  • Direction of all related creative efforts including format selection, copy writing, photography and layout

Responsible for achieving sales, profit and market share objectives for assigned target markets


 


Primary responsibilities:



  • Develop and manage overall St John strategy for assigned target markets
  • In-depth knowledge of market, customers, product applications (how the customer is using the products), competition
  • Develop and manage the St. John value proposition and overall brand strategy
  • Develop and manage the retention and penetration (dollars per site growth) strategy for existing customers
  • Develop and manage the prospecting / new customer acquisition strategy
  • Identify, evaluate and manage additional niche opportunities
  • Develop sales and profitability analysis for target markets


  • Identify, evaluate and recommend advertising opportunities for product line


  • Responsible for catalog and other promotional materials design, layout and copy
  • Analyze and manage mail response rates for profitability
  • Work with National Accounts Sales Manager to expand relationship with GPO’s

 


Participates in the development and execution of sales department strategy



  • Participate in the development of scripts
  • Participate in the development and follow-up of campaigns
  • Coordinates marketing efforts with sales campaigns
  • Responsible for sales rep training on markets, customers, products, competition, applications, etc.

Minimum requirements:


BS/BA in marketing or business


5 yrs experience in the B2B direct response industry including: direct mail, e-mail,


on-line, telemarketing, print media


Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.


Computer Software – Demonstrated ability with Excel, Word, Outlook
