Additionally, the ARS assists the Laboratory Manager in tracking clinical samples/data through testing, review/audit and transfer to client, setting priorities and reviewing assay trending data.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, etc) plus 5 years of industry experience with bacteriological and microbiological methods in a regulated lab.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience and working knowledge of standard bacteriological and microbiological methods
· Experience and working knowledge of standard biochemical, immunological, virological methods
· Experience conducting and troubleshooting assay in a regulated environmen
· Ability to adhere to laboratory policies, safety procedures
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of client protocols and study data
Strong verbal communication skills for internal and external communications.
· Demonstrated ability of high attention to detail and precision.
· Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to prioritize tasks by understanding the relative importance and urgency of each task.
· Proficient in use of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
