Sylvan's Quality & Support team guarantee that our company's software works every time for every user while scaling to the highest levels.  Our team is a collaborative organization consisting of engineers with the highest levels of technical depth, programming skill and a passion for quality.

The Associate Software Tester works with test engineers and developers to create Sylvan's newest products.  The Associate Software Tester executes functional tests, delivers in depth defect report analysis, and searches for, investigates, and reports defects.

*         Records the results of test case execution and provides detailed defect information.

*         Works closely with Software Engineering and Solutions Analysts to review defects, triage issues, and determine remediation paths.

*         Execute manual functional and performance test cases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

*         U.S. Citizen or Permanent Work Visa required.

*         B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).

*         At least 1 year of professional experience executing manual tests and reporting results.

*         At least 6 months of experience testing software in technologies applicable to Sylvan: C#, .Net 2.0/3.5, ASP.Net, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, AJAX, Windows or Web applications, and Web Services.

*         Experience with SQL a plus.

*         Proficient scripting skills in at least one common language.

*         Proficient in a Windows environment.
