The Associate Sourcing Manager is a member of the Sourcing Team, which is responsible for the execution and communication of the Corporate Global Sourcing Strategy. He/She executes day-to-day tasks necessary to execute the strategy, He/She works closely with internal cross-functional teams in Product Development, Product Integrity, Tech Design, Planning, Inventory Control, and Merchandising as well as with Overseas Offices, Agents and Vendors to ensure adherence to financial goals, quality standards, and on time delivery.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with cross-functional team members in Product Development, Tech Design and Product integrity during development process to ensure that garment and fabric development align with departmental strategic sourcing goals and will meet key development calendar milestones. This includes participating in weekly touch base meetings and informal sharing of information.
Maintain Assortment Shells and Margin Calculators throughout development process to reflect updated costing
Follow up with vendors to receive cost quotes. Work with Sourcing Manager to negotiate costing to meet departmental goals
Partner with Sourcing Manager to confirm placement plan
Review bulk units against Early Buy quantities to reconcile variances with IC/ Planning and Offices, Agents and Vendors
Manage color/qty changes and reorders in SCM
Validate and manage Work In Progress reports from Agent/Vendors. Track ex factory deliveries
Work with Product Integrity, Product Development and Color Depts to trouble shoot fabric quality and color approval issue
Review/communicate bulk fabric/yarn approvals (handfeel, weight and appearance)
Qualifications:
4 Year Bachelors Degree preferred
5 - 7 Years Sourcing experience
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Web PDM (preferred)
