JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are growing our consulting practice nationwide and are looking to hire an entry-level Consultant to for a datawarehousing project on the West Coast. In this role, you will be responsible for developing ETL, loading and validating data from source systems into the data warehouse.  If you like Consulting or are interested in Consulting as a career, this is a great opportunity for you to expand your technical skills in a client-facing environment.

West Coast candidates are preferable, however RSI can provide relocation assistance if needed.  Future projects may require relocation or travel. 

Working with a team of RSI consultants and technical specialists at the client site, your responsibilities may include the following:

• Analyzing, designing, documenting, building, testing, and implementing Extract,

   Transform, and Load (ETL) tasks
• Developing database stored procedures to supplement and support ETL or application  

   needs
• Troubleshooting database and data issues and manage to resolution
• Communicating with technical leads, project management personnel, and end users to  

   identify, document, and implement business rules requirements
• Participating in ongoing improvement of systems, standards, and methodologies
• Assisting with end user education and training

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Immediate authorization to work in the US
• 0-2 years relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of relational databases
• Academic understanding of object-oriented programming theory
• Solid SQL development skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Professional demeanor

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools, especially Embarcadero

· Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

· Solid understanding of OLAP principles and techniques
