We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
POSITION TITLE: Associate Test Engineer (Environmental Stress Lab)
NATURE OF WORK:
Designs, develops and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Performing thermal and dynamic testing per program manuals and quality control procedures
- Setup and monitoring of environmental stress test equipment
- Programming thermal controllers per detailed manuals and test procedures
- Setup of complex thermal tests and monitoring program equipment per test procedures
- Setup and monitoring of vibration equipment
- Attaching and equipping shakers with appropriate vibration fixtures and monitoring devices
- Programming vibration controllers per mil-std and customer specified test procedures
- Performing mechanical inspections per defined procedures and drawings using calibrated measuring devices
THE CANDIDATE SELECTED FOR THIS POSITION WILL POSSESS, AND DEMONSTRATE, THE FOLLOWING:
- Minimum of an AS Degree in Electronics or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience working in a lab environment supporting and performing environmental stress screening functions and proficiency with associated equipment
