Associate Vice President for Information Technology

The New York Botanical Garden is a National Historic Landmark and one of NYC’s premier cultural institutions. We currently seek a dynamic Associate Vice President of Information Technology to play a senior leadership role and be responsible for the both the strategic planning of technology initiatives that are intended to advance the Garden’s position within the community of cultural and scientific institutions and providing hands on management of the design, development, and implementation of those initiatives. The Associate Vice President of Information Technology will also supervise support and professional staff.
Requirements: Solid information technology experience, preferably in organizations of mid-to large-size with complex visitor, data, and voice networking infrastructures; knowledge of current, available technology and applications for cultural organizations; demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to business opportunities while being fiscally responsible; five or more years supervisory experience. Advanced degree preferred in relevant field; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work well with senior management, peers, and subordinates; knowledge of museum operations and systems.
