Attorney - General Counsel

Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) seeks qualified candidates for WHEDA’s General Counsel, in our Madison Office. This is a senior management position responsible and accountable, directly to the Executive Director, as chief legal advisor and General Counsel for the Authority.

Ideal candidate will have a J.D. Law Degree; passed the Wisconsin Bar exam and possess a minimum of 10-15  years of progressively responsible real estate law experience as well as experience dealing with the development of large real estate and Multifamily projects.  Commercial and residential development experience as well as bond counsel experience is desired.  An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
