Position Description

McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking an Attorney located in the Richmond, Virginia corporate office. Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients. Acts as advisor on legal issues involving the organization's government and regulatory compliance. Reviews legal data and advises organization on appropriate legal action to be taken. Coordinates legal matters handled by outside counsel. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organization, securities compliance, drafting transactional documents, license agreements, regulatory matters, risk management asset-backed financing, and contract management. Advice on legal issues may also deal with trade secrets, advertising law, registration, and other resolutions which may include the computer and technology industry as well as SEC reporting.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Contract review, drafting and negotiation for several sales segments and external vendors.

Corporate based work experience and accomplishments

Support M&A activity by providing due diligence efforts

Reviewing and providing input on marketing materials for compliance with FDA and FTC requirements.

Provide regulatory advice, including counsel on antitrust and anti-kickback statutes.

Project Management.

Minimum Requirements

10+ years of experience providing legal counsel to clients.

Health care law is preferred.

Minimal travel.

Education

Law Degree.
