SUMMARY OF POSITION

Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Inc. seeks an Attorney (Temporary) for the International Television Distribution- Legal/ Business Affairs department. Position will provide legal and commercial advice, legal documents and related support to the division’s sales and business development executives, contract administration, finance, and marketing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Negotiate and draft complex distribution, license, equity and related agreements, and provide legal and business advice to sales and business development executives, contract administration, finance and marketing.  Review and revise form agreements and standard terms and conditions; assist in implementing departmental and company-wide initiatives.  Research and advise on copyright and related issues under US and international laws.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

College graduate.  JD from accredited law school.  Member of California State Bar.  Minimum five years legal experience in major studio or comparable law firm experience, with at least two years relevant television distribution experience required. Must be well organized, efficient, and have ability to prioritize. Must have ability to handle multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.  Must have excellent communication and writing skills, including ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with others.  PC Skills: Windows XP, MSWord, DeltaView, Access, Excel, MS Outlook, Power Point. Foreign Language: Proficiency in Spanish, Japanese, French, German or Italian a plus.
