
The Audit Manager is offered the opportunity to work with clients within a variety of industries. Primary responsibilities are to prepare for audits utilizing a team of great professionals, interact with the client and manage the relationship and develop new business for the Firm.

Internally, the Audit Manager will assist with planning and scheduling audit engagements for businesses within a variety of industries. After fieldwork is performed, they will prepare and/or review accounting-related reports through a paperless office environment and provide financial analysis. A big part of their role involves training others within the audit area and assisting with their career development through feedback and the delegation of appropriate work based on experience.
Externally, the Audit Manager will work with their audit engagement team to ensure the various components of the audit engagement are performed - including gathering information from the client, reviewing and compiling client financial data. Discussions with key leaders within the client company are part of the every-day-routine, so the Audit Manager must be aware of general business trends and issues, and apply that knowledge to the client's issues and solutions, while professional representing the Firm. The ability to develop new business for the Firm is also a crucial role.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, an Audit Manager will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with 6 years of audit experience, preferably with a large regional or national firm. A CPA license is required. Proficiency with Word, Excel and audit engagement software is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as you will be talking with and working with high level finance and business professionals on a regular basis. You also need to be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. And, you need to be good at leading teams and working well with others.
The ability to network and develop new business for the Firm is a crucial skill for this role. A track record of successful business development results will be required.
This opportunity requires frequent travel to client locations with an overnight stay (25% to 40%). You will need some form of transportation to get to your client office locations.
