The Opportunity

The purpose of the Audit Specialist position is to assist the audit by providing expertise in a given claim area or industry

The Role

Primary Responsibilities

·         Adheres to overall timing and deadline of an audit cycle.

·         Assists audit management by identifying new claim opportunities for the audit.

·         Assists with data acquisition.

·         Assists other auditors by sharing expertise and audit methods used.

·         Audits beyond specific tools/reports by applying a wide variety of approaches.

·         Audits without direct supervision.

·         Documents and trains new audit procedures to entire audit team.

·         Identifies opportunities in audit based on the scope given.

·         Maintains effective relationship with audit manager or audit director.

·         Maintains relationships with vendor contact as part of claim production process.

·         Moves between audits with accuracy and flexibility.

·         Performs QC for less experienced auditors and develops processes.

·         Produces claims in accordance with client guidelines and PRG-Schultz procedures.

·         Reviews own claims for accuracy and compliance prior to client presentations.

·         Identifies new ideas to leverage opportunities from other audits.

·         Develops reports.

·         Optimizes the audit process and tools.

·         Runs specialized data requests.

·         Manipulates data sets that feed into audit teams.

·         Stays current with new technology.

·         Responds to client and auditor needs.

·         Communicates across multiple levels in the organization.

·         Acts as a liaison between audit and ads.

The Candidate

Experience

·         Prefer 3+ years of experience in an office environment, preferably supervisory and auditing related.

 

Education

·         Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Compensation

This position will be competitively compensated with:
