This position is located in our MA, Needham facility
Assists in planning individual or multiple audit engagements (i.e., issue engagement letters to schedule reviews, hold opening meetings with management to outline audit objective, scope and methodology) Under the direction of on-site supervision, implement audits to evaluate compliance with company policy and procedures, government regulations, the Standards of Business Conduct program's requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; perform audit fieldwork typically involving complex audit cycles requiring interdisciplinary skills and broad knowledge of the operating location(s); prepare audit workpapers/files that are accurate, complete, and consistent with auditing standards and record retention requirements; identify operational deficiencies or inconsistencies with the Company's goals and objectives; formulate recommendations for corrective actions which are consistent with the audit findings, internal control considerations and are cost beneficial. Assist with the closing of audits and drafting reports to senior management which summarizes all audit findings. Perform special projects at the request of management. Up to 25% travel required.
Requires BS/BA degree.
Requires a minimum 2 years experience in Accounting or Auditing, preferable in the Defense Government Contracting Arena. Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the FAR, Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is desirable, but not required.
