FIRST KEYSTONE Risk Retention Group is seeking an AUTO LIABILITY CLAIMS ADJUSTER for our Philadelphia PA office, to handle commercial automobile liability claims.

Responsibilities:
This is an inside position that will handle existing claim files, in addition to receiving new claims daily.  The position will investigate, evaluate, and settle commercial automobile liability claims, both for property damage and bodily injury.  The position needs to work independently, with little supervision, and must assist others in our team environment.

Requirements:

§  Need to know how to investigate auto liability claims, evaluate liability and damages, set reserves, properly document the claim notes, and negotiate bodily injury claim settlements.

§  MUST have some experience handling bodily injury claims.

§  Familiar with looking at medical records, and composing a summary of a claimant’s medical and injury situation.

§  Need good quality claim documentation skills, good typing, data entry, and math skills.

§  Computer proficiency with Windows, MSWord, Outlook E-Mail, and internet searches.

§  Ability to function and work in several applications, and to multitask and handle phone calls while also working in the computer system.

§  Function independently, in addition to working well with our team environment.

§  Ability to learn quickly, and to obtain appropriate State adjuster licenses, as necessary.

§  2+ years experience handling commercial auto liability claims.

§  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

§  Knowledge of PA and/or NJ auto laws preferred.  Knowledge of other States’ auto laws is a plus.

§  Some knowledge of civil litigation is a plus.

§  Ability to speak other languages (in addition to English) is a plus.

§  Having a current property damage appraiser license in PA is a plus.

§  Having current adjuster licenses for other States (such as DE) is a plus.
