State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-eight-year-old, A+ (Superior rated), property-casualty insurance company has openings for an experienced Auto Physical Damage Managers to work in our Columbus, Ohio; Goodlettsville, Tennessee or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania offices.  This position will administer, maintain, and upgrade the performance of staff appraisers, desk reviewers, QSG shops, and independent appraisers in an assigned territory.  Identify and implement new programs that help ensure consistency and reduce loss leakage on auto physical damage (APD) claims.  Advance the quality and effectiveness of the APD operation through strategy formulation and implementation, agency relationships, customer service, and employee staffing and development.

Qualified applicants should possess ten years experience in auto physical damage (APD) estimating.  At least three years experience supervising field or desk appraisers is required.  A college degree preferred.  Applicants must have a high level of APD knowledge and be capable of reinspecting and providing accurate feedback to staff and vendors.  This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem solving skills.
