AutoCAD Designer / Document System Administrator
We are a growing consulting engineering firm providing services to industrial companies and commercial facilities. We are looking for a CAD designer / system administrator to provide assistance for one of our clients. The work and designs are varied and will require a willingness to learn.
Job Tasks:
· Produces design drawings in AutoCAD format from engineering markups; comparing drawings to established standards; reading and understanding bills of material; searching and retrieving parts numbers.
· Strong familiarity with drawing standards and the knowledge of creating a drawing.
· Provide support for archival and organization of CAD drawings using existing database.
· Develop systems for drawing and document storage and retrieval.
· Attend meetings and present training information to the engineering staff.
· Organizes project work by gathering and sorting technical data, information, and documents.
· Provides technical information by searching databases; answering questions and requests; preparing and sending email notices and correspondence to users.
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and other means available.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must have good organizational skills.
Experience in drawing development and design.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word are required.
SmarTeam experience is preferred but not required.
