This position will be responsible for control projects and will oversee/perform all phases of controls and automation project work and plant automation support. This position will also focus on improving all aspects of existing automation
Position will have autonomous ability to make programming changes that affect the productivity of the processing area. Position will also work to downtime, losses and operational efficiency.
Logic Controller programming in the processing area is done using Allen Bradley Structured Text programming language which is very similar to Pascal.
- Design control systems
- Improve process system, safety, quality and reliability.
- Upgrade control system.
- Improve Operational Efficiency and Performance Efficiency.
- Support maintenance control activities – provide training and support to increase maintenance team abilities.
- Integrate control systems and platforms – reduce losses in milk, packaging and other materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and Groupe standards.
- Verify integrity of control loops, read prints and give input at the design phase of projects.
- Ensure accuracy of readings and measures – calibrate and otherwise validate instruments and control
mechanisms.
Minimum 2 years experience working as a computer programmer.
Must have experience in C++ (In Windows Environment) developmental skills
Familiar with Java, Pascal
Familiar with SQL
Familiar with Visual Basic
Educational background in Computer Science Required
Knowledge of Rockwell Automation’s RSLogix 5000 software and associated Hardware preferred but not required
Knowledge of structured text programming preferred not but required
Capital project support experience.
General electrical experience.
Dairy Experience preferred but not required
