Busy independant shop is hiring a full line automotive technician.  We are also hiring one apprentice technician.   The right person for the main position will need to have an excellent work history and complete knowledge of all aspects of automotive and light truck service including but not limited to:

-On board engine computer diagnosis and repair.
-Vehicle safety systems diagnosis and repair including ABS and SRS
-Complete HVAC system diagnosis and repair including automatic climate control.
-Vehicle chassis systems diagnosis and repair including locating and repair noises, vibrations, etc.
-Four wheel drive and traction control systems diagnosis and repair.
-All other basic repairs such as brakes, suspension, timing belts, water pumps, flush services, etc.

Applicant must have a significant investment in tools including but not limited to:

-All basic hand tools SAE and Metric.

-All basic air operated tools.

-Torque wrenches and micrometers

-Many specialty tools required to complete certain jobs (i.e. hub sockets for 4wd, waterpump tool for cadillac, pullers, camshaft alignment tools, etc.)

Applicant must also have ASE master certification.   (Engine performance L1 and L2 is a plus).

A Colorado driver's license is required with an insurable driving record.  Our insurance company will not accept DUI's.

Working environment:

-We are a family owned and operated facility.  Owner is on site at all times and is well known in the community.  We are open Monday through Friday and open from 7 am to 6 pm.  The hours for this position are 8 am to 5 pm.  We are closed most holidays and usually for extended days surrounding holidays.  Vacation is paid for 2 weeks per year.

-Our shop is often busy while our competition is slow.  This is due to our excellent reputation and long standing existence in the area (business has been here for +30 years).

Salary:

-We have a base salary of $400 per week plus commissions on jobs completed.  The current compensation being paid for this position is in excess of $60,000 annually.

Our shop is equipped well with modern diagnostic equipment including Vetronix scanners, snap on scanner, Vetronix oscilliscope, 5 gas analyzer, etc.  We also have a brand new Hunter alignment machine with laser camera system.  We have used oil burner for heat so the shop is very warm.  If you are looking for a key role in a family owned operation, please apply online and call.
