POSITION SUMMARY


 


THE SERVICE ADVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING WORK IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND FOR SELLING ADDITIONAL NEEDED MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS.  THE SERVICE ADVISOR IS RESPIONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE  MEETS OR EXCEEDS THE MANUFACURER’S SATISFACTION INDEX. 


 


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


 




  • GREET EACH CUSTOMER IN A PROMPT, COURTEOUS MANNER, ACKNOWLEDGE WAITING CUSTOMERS. 


  • COMMUMICATE WITH SERVICE CUSTOMERS TO DETERMINE THE NATURE OF THEIR REQUESTS AND NEEDS.


  • SECURE AGREEMENT FROM CUSTOMERS BEFORE REPAIRS, COVER COST ESTIMATES AND APPROZIMATE TIMES OF COMPLETION


  • SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT AND MAINTAIN GOOD CUSTOMER AND VEHICLE DATA


  • MAINTAIN A DEALERSHIP –PRESCRIBED STANDARD FOR “CUSTOMER PAY HOURS PER RO, EFFECTIVE LABOR RATE AND LABOR GROSS PER TICKET WRITTEN”.


  • ADVISE CUSTOMERS ON THE CARE OF THEIR VEHICLES AND THE NEED FOR FACTORY RECOMMENDED SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE


  • HANDLE MINOR CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS


  • COMMUNICATE THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL WORK WHEN NEEDED, EXPLAIN THE DETAILS TO THE CUSTOMER INCLUDING THE ADDITIONAL COSTS AND TIME CONSIDERATION AND DOCUMENT PROPERLY ON THE REPIAR ORDER


  • HANDLE TELEPHONE INQUIRIES REGARDING WORK IN PROCESS, APPOINTMENTS AND RETURN MESSAGES PROMPTLY.


  • INTERPRET WARRANTY INFORMATION AND POLICIES AND COMMUNICATE THAT TO CUSTOMERS


  • ADVISE CUSTOMERS OF SPECIAL ORDERED PARTS AND KEEP THEM INFORMED TO ARRIVAL TIMES AND SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS FOR INSTALLATION


  • FOLLOW UP ON PROGRESS OF EACH REPAIR ORDER DURING THE DAY AND COMMUNICATE ANY CHANGES IN ESTIMATE OR COMPLETION TIMES.


  • ACTIVELY DELIVER THE VEHICLE TO THE CUSTOMER UPON COMPLETION BY EXPLAINING THE REPAIR ORDER IN FULL AND SET NEXT APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICES RECOMMENDED

 


QUALIFICATIONS


 


MUST MEET COMPAY HIRING STANDARDS


MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LISCENSE


ABILITY TO DRIVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES


DEMONSTRATE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS


ABILITY TO READ AND COMPREHEND INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION


TWO YEARS RETAIL EXPERIENCE


EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS


PREFESSIONAL APPEARANCE
