Since our founding in 1965, Daniel Webster College (“DWC”) has established itself as an innovative center of higher learning. DWC maintains an active enrollment of approximately 1,000 students in varying Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in the following schools: Arts and Sciences; Aviation Sciences; Business, Management and Professional Studies; Engineering and Computer Sciences. The Opportunity

The DWC School Aviation Sciences is accepting applications for Adjunct Faculty with experience in aviation management and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaches material from approved curriculum and develops daily lesson plans to include instructional aide.
• Participates in school retention initiatives by providing regular, accurate, and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
• Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
• Completes professional development and in-service activities in accordance with college standards.
• Maintains expertise in subject area and recommends improvements in curriculum design.
• Instructs students in laboratory safety procedures if applicable.
• When possible, participate in core course academic support programs, certification programs and student professional associations.

• Master’s degree required, Doctorate preferred, in Business Management or related area. Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
• Management and operations experience in aviation required.
• Knowledge of corporate flight departments, substantive air taxi operations or fractional flight operations highly desirable.
• NBAA management and operations standards a plus.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, concurrent engineering design and presentation skills required.
• Ability to utilize different methods and mediums in delivering course material.
• Experience in organizing and writing reports and presentations of a theoretical nature.
• Proven educational or administrative experience in critical thinking, problem solving and judgment skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, the Internet, and management system software.
• Past history of developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with others and maintaining them overtime.
