Aviation Operations Supervisor (31161)

Description

Responsible for ensuring operational continuity and regulatory compliance at all VFR Air Traffic Control Towers. Responsible for hiring of air traffic control personnel, labor cost control and effective utilization of personnel at all facilities. Works directly with Aviation Safety Director to develop standard operating procedures, resolve compliance deficiencies and address safety related issues. Responsible for operational reporting requirements to the FAA. Supervises Air Traffic Managers. Must have extensive experience and knowledge of air traffic control concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Leads and directs the work of others. Reports to the Contract Manager.
