Duties. Primary duty is to conduct training on the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance on the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) and Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE). Develop, tailor and validate instructional and student material. Trains personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, seminars, on-site instruction and in a COC, collective staff training environment. Rebuilds the BAT/HIIDE systems for classroom instruction when required. Provides Subject Matter Expertise support on military BAT/HIIDE systems during exercises to validate training curriculum. Provides feedback and recommendations on training curriculum improvements and system and application upgrades to the Command and Control Training and Education Center of Excellence through approved channels. Develop a working knowledge of how the BAT/HIIDE system functions within the C2 tactical intelligence systems (IOS v2, MIDB and Intelligence related software applications). Collaborates with other training specialists as well as variety of technical-based BAT/HIIDE related subject matter experts and other outside entities to ensure relevance of training materials. Will travel to conduct on-site instruction and technical assistance as required to include field training environments as well as participate in mobile training teams.
Civilian Education. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Military Education. Formal military training at any of the DOD operator courses for the BAT/HIIDE systems and applications or extensive Military On-the-Job (OJT) training for BAT/HIIDE. Desired documented experience in supporting military intelligence duties and supporting higher and lower echelons with a clear understanding of tactics and techniques of military operations at the tactical level. Instructional Systems Design (ISD) curriculum development desired, but not required.
Military/Government Experience. Minimum one year experience in employing BAT/HIIDE is preferred, but the government will provide training if necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows operating environment (WinXP) and Microsoft Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Instructor certified by service school or civilian equivalent with two years as a classroom instructor is preferred but not required. Possess excellent oral and written skills. Direct participation in real world operations is desired; direct participation in OIF/OEF is desired and should receive preference over other candidates.
Proof of Security Clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a secret clearance.
