Processes rejections and performs reject analysis
Creates, updates, and documents information relating to the financial status of an account
Contacts patients and/or third party representatives to secure additional information pertaining to reimbursement of claims
Communicates effectively with other departments, third party representatives, and other patient accounting personnel
Performs all other duties and assignments as requested
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year previous medical billing, third party, and Medicare/Medicaid experience as a patient representative in a hospital or medical office setting
General knowledge in the area of personal computers, and web based applications
Exemplary record and references
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with fellow department employees, hospital staff, physicians, department heads, and patients
Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable in day to day activities
