Istonish, an award winning company with 19 years of experience providing clients information technology solutions and staffing, has an immediate opening for a Remedy Developer with our client in Golden Valley, MN.
This is a potential contract to hire arrangement – client will not transfer any visa’s – candidates must be US Citizens/Green card holders. Candidates must meet all of these requirements for consideration.
The person will be responsible for developing and scoping solutions for the BMC ITSM and AR System platforms. Provide support for the Services and Infrastructure Management platform and applications globally.
Support includes break/fix (application incident) resolution, data administration requests, and documenting administration steps for future internal turnover.
Development responsibilities include:
o Gather and document customer needs for enhancements including understanding of customer processes
o Develop solutions in AR System based upon collected specifications using existing client standards
o Estimate effort needed to complete enhancements
o Implement solutions following proper change processes
o Clearly document any changes made to the system using existing client standards
The person must be a quick learner of processes. Candidate will be expected to show exceptional communication skills as they will interact with client's global Remedy user community and be part of the frontline impression for client Remedy team.
Targeted Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years performing data administration and/or workflow development on Remedy IT Service Management application modules (Mandatory)
o Incident Management,
o Infrastructure Change Management,
o Asset Management,
o Service Request Management,
o Service Level Management,
o Foundation Elements (Master Data) module.
Most desired is experience with Remedy ITSM 7 application modules however, will consider those who have experience with Remedy ITSM product line for same module areas.
2. Understanding IT Service Management & IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts. (Nice-to-have).
3. Understand how to search and report in Remedy/ARS environments, including tools such as:
o Remedy Search by Example (Mandatory)
o Remedy Advanced Search (Mandatory)
o Remedy User Tool Macros (Mandatory)
o Remedy User Tool Report System (Nice-to-have)
o Use of a Microsoft Access against an Remedy/ARS datasource to produce reports (almost Mandatory)
o Crystal Reports (Nice-to-have)
o Business Objects Universes (Nice-to-have)
o Business Objects Reporting (Nice-to-have)
4. Exposure to email and paging software. We use Telemon/Telalert. (Nice-to-have).
