BROADCASTING SENIOR EDITOR
This is professional work involving the editing and coordination of programming for the Seminole Channel, special projects, Seminole Broadcasting, Business Marketing as well as oversees all aspects of duplication.
The person in this position is responsible for coordinating edited video product to be included on the Seminole Channel, the Seminole Broadcasting channel (WSBC) and other areas of SMP as well as be able to train and follow through with the vision for Seminole Broadcasting.
Edits videotapes to insert music, dialogue, voiceovers and sound effects, to arrange films into sequences and to correct errors, using editing equipment as well as be proficient in sequential editing and storytelling. Ability to pinpoint natural sound and use it effectively within the final product.
Thorough knowledge of graphic software packages such as Photo Shop, After Effects, animation, DVD authoring and related software.
Thorough knowledge of non-linear editing systems, specifically Final Cut Pro.
The incumbent in this position exercises a certain degree of independent judgment and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all editors on the other reservations. This position is a non-exempt hourly paid position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of college or university with a degree in broadcasting, video production, media, journalism or related field. Minimum five (5) years experience a variety of non-linear editing system. Advance knowledge of graphic software packages such as Photo Shop, After Effects, animation and related software.
Ability to troubleshoot non-linear editing system. Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a diverse workload, multiple tasks and projects. Ability to work nights and weekends and travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary.
