REPORTS TO:                                      Shift Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors and premises.

 

Distinguishing Characteristics: 

Primary job function is to process paperwork and provide new client employees and contractors with Photo ID/Access cards. Maintain Axiom Photo ID database, issue temporary access cards, and issue passes for guests.

1.    Perform a variety of routine and non-routine security and receptionist duties associated with access control at high customer visibility, high value property movement and/or high volume posts, using established policies, standards and guidelines. 

2.    Monitor security badging area as required. 

3.    Issue and monitor temporary employee badges and visitor badges.

4.    Responsible for tracking badges issued to the new employees and Contractors. 

5.    Maintain and follow client’s Termination Notification process as well monthly and quarterly audit processes. 

6.    Generate reports and update Restricted Access Levels. 

7.    Assist Account Manager as needed with special projects.

8.    Provide passport Photo as needed.

9.    Maintain files on contractors and vendors.

10. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position and client need. Previous experience in badging or managing lobby functions is required.

 

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, in security or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the client.

Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands

·         Must have sufficient hearing to respond to normal verbal speech, alarm signals, radio and telephone communications

·         Must have sufficient visual acuity to read and understand tenant rosters, employee listings, post orders, maps computer screens, check identification (such as company badge and driver’s license) and to distinguish the faces of employees, contractors and visitors

·         Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 90% of an 8 hour shift.

·         Must have a command of the English language that is easily understood.
